This varies as each area is unique. The number of dispatch calls cannot be guaranteed due to factors such as level of boating activity and use of commercial assistance.
Do I have to be available 24/7 /365 and is there a penalty if I don’t answer dispatch calls?
Your success as a vendor will depend greatly on your availability. In order to remain competitive we expect our vendors to remain accessible and available at all times. If a vendor fails to respond to calls, they will be removed from the network and other vendors will be utilized.
Is there a financial penalty in the event that I find that being a Compass Marine Services vendor is not right for me?
No. Once you notify compass marine services that you no longer wish to be a vendor, you will receive no further dispatch calls.
Will there be multiple vendors within the same area?
This will be dependent on the need and level of service of each vendor. Our primary goal is to provide prompt service to our customers. This, and the vendor’s ability to meet those needs will determine if the area is services by one or more vendors.
